Birth = Death???

So I didn't blog like I've said I would.

That was the first time that I've attended a Christian funeral service. It was as if I was back to school during chapel time. We were singing songs, both Christian songs, as well as songs that Helen loved. I thought that Eunice, Helen's daughter, had a wonderful voice. She could sing so well, all in perfect pitch, even though she was in the midst of feeling the lost of her mother. It's really the music industry's lost not to have her as a singing artist.

Anyway, I had been thinking about this since I was back from Helen's funeral. If we were all born to die eventually, why do we have to be born in the first place. Yes, we may say that we can contribute to the society by doing the best we can to help others in the best ways we can, but if everyone one are born to die, then wouldn't it be easier if no one were born? No one would have to die then, although the world wouldn't be as interesting as it now is.

I am actually thinking what would really happen if I die. I knew what it was like to loose a loved one, and being the one who is still alive and kicking on earth. What about the deceased? I know from Christians' point of view, they would be in GOD's arms, in Buddhists' view, they will be recarnated, while in Taoists' view, they'll be under trial to see which level of hell they will be going, and whether they have a chance to be reborned.

I am a Buddhist myself. I am taught that we will be recarnated with the karma that was with us the moment we die, and this karma will decide what karma and what kind of family I'll be recarned into. However, I'm still very curious to know what it is to die. Too bad the dead can't return to tell us which is really happening. Is it the Buddhists, the Taoists, or the Christians that are true? Or is it other teachings, besides these 3, that were happening? Am really looking forward to the day I die, with no regrets. Then I'll know what's really happening.

But no worry to the people reading this, I still have plentiful of things yet to be done. No suicidal thoughts. Just curiosity.
